More Pages - Pet Peeves PET PEEVESLike many people, I have pet peeves and my biggest pet peeve is about pets and how people take care of them... or in this case, how people don't take care of their pet. When I am going somewhere either by car, foot, bike, etc, the one thing I always notice is that people who are driving in their car allow their dog or dogs to stick their heads out of the window! Why is that a pet peeve of mine? Simple. The reason is because these pets are now at high risk for getting cataracts as the excess wind blowing in their eyes is known to cause cataracts. Furthermore, when driving in the car, you are travelling with speed and any little bug or any little spec of dust, regardless of size, can cause serious damage to your pet's eyes. In some cases, eye surgery may be required to repair damaged eyes. So, please take care of your pet by keeping their eyes healthy and their head in the car when driving. |
